Bad Seed was carried out as part of an adaptation exercise at La Cambre.
It is an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling.
Here is a brief summary :
It is the story of an ugly and clumsy child, born by mistake, mistreated, rejected by his parents and harassed by his brothers.
Abandoned, the Ugly Duck - innocent character and troubled childhood - lives a sad existence under the contempt of looks, he is different.
One day, after having wandered and suffered, he metamorphoses, meets his fellow men, becomes great, beautiful and respected...
